The Italians are a proud people, especially when it comes to their illustrious history. The Lazzarini design and architecture firm from Rome is considered a pioneer in its original ideas. The foundational design of the Prodigium yacht, on which the Lazzarini team has worked—and continues to work—reveals a nostalgic view of the Roman Empire’s golden days, specifically its emperors and their immense wealth.
The Prodigium, measuring 153 meters in length, features a metal bay at its stern for two vessels up to thirty meters long, which will be stored on a floating deck. The yacht’s interior can accommodate three helicopters in separate hangars. It is constructed with six decks and resembles a shark in its external form. The upper part, shaped like a shark’s nose, is made of aluminum and carbon fiber, supported by two Roman columns.

The yacht is designed to feature three swimming pools on separate decks, one above the other, with cascading waterfalls between them, reminiscent of ancient Roman baths. The crew will consist of thirty people—twelve sailors and a captain, along with additional staff to serve 44 guests in 22 double suites. The yacht’s power will be provided by a network of solar panels on the top deck, which also serves as a helicopter landing pad. And if you’re wondering about the yacht’s name, Prodigium is Latin for “wonder.”
In summary: a voyage into Roman history.
