To mark the 20th anniversary of the iconic The Edge cigar line, Rocky Patel introduces a special commemorative release. The Rocky Patel The Edge 20th Anniversary pays tribute to the series’ distinguished legacy while delivering a more refined and complex flavor profile.
Crafted at the El Paraiso factory in Danlí, Honduras, the cigar features a 10-year-aged Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Honduran binder, and a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers. The result is a medium-to-full-bodied smoke that strikes an impressive balance between strength and elegance.
The experience opens with notes of creamy cherry, red pepper, and damp earth. As the cigar progresses, flavors of natural wood, leather, and raw tobacco emerge, while the pepper gradually intensifies, balancing the initial sweetness. In the final third, notes of wood, earth, and pepper dominate, accompanied by a sharper edge that slightly masks the cigar’s complexity, yet still delivers a memorable finish.
The aroma is rich and layered, offering nuances of fine leather, roasted coffee beans, root beer, and warm spices such as cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Construction is excellent, with an effortless draw, even burn, and solid ash throughout the smoking experience.
The series is available in three vitolas—Toro, Robusto, and Sixty—presented in boxes of 20 cigars.
