La Gloria Cubana Turquinos
Introduced in early 2023, the Turquinos is a new vitola in the portfolio of the historic La Gloria Cubana brand, produced at the Partagás Factory in Havana. The cigar is named after Pico Turquino, Cuba’s highest mountain peak, and revives the name of a historic vitola that was discontinued in the 1970s.
This Gordito (5½ x 50) is wrapped in a glossy Colorado wrapper with a yellowish-brown hue, prominent veins, and a silky texture. The cigar offers excellent construction and draw, and is handcrafted using premium tobacco from Vuelta Abajo in the Pinar del Río region.
On the palate, it delivers a balanced flavor profile, opening with notes of wood and nuts, developing distinctive earthy nuances through the second third, and finishing with cedar wood and delicate spices layered over an earthy backdrop. Strength gradually builds from medium-light to nearly full-bodied while maintaining the brand’s characteristic character throughout the smoking experience.
Estimated smoking time is approximately 50 minutes. The cigar is presented in an elegant box containing 10 cigars.
