CAO Amazon Basin Rothschild
The CAO Amazon Basin Rothschild delivers an exotic smoking experience, inspired by the very rainforest from which it originates. Deep within a remote region of the Amazon rainforest grows the rare Bragança tobacco, cultivated on virgin soil according to sustainable ecological principles. The plants are spaced approximately two meters apart and harvested only once every three years.
The Rothschild (4½ x 50), featuring an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder, contains a filler blend that combines Brazilian Bragança tobacco with leaves from Colombia and the Dominican Republic. Medium- to full-bodied in strength, it offers an aromatic profile marked by notes of wood and leather, followed by subtle layers of earth, fruit, and licorice.
One of the cigar’s most distinctive visual features is its band, crafted from dried sugarcane rather than printed paper—an authentic tribute to the cigar’s tropical origins.
For the ideal pairing, enjoy it with moka pot coffee, allowing the tobacco’s Brazilian and Colombian roots to harmonize naturally with the origins of the coffee itself.
