Gurkha Special Edition Ron Abuelo Añejo 7 Años
Ever since Gurkha began experimenting with flavored cigars through the infusion process—storing cigars in sealed environments saturated with the aromas of premium spirits such as rum, cognac, or whisky—the brand has developed a distinctive style that combines elegant sweetness with striking presentation.
The Special Edition Ron Abuelo Añejo 7 Años, part of the Private Select collection, is an excellent example of this approach. Produced in the Dominican Republic and available as a regular release for nearly a decade, it features a silky U.S. Connecticut Shade wrapper infused with the aromas of Ron Abuelo Añejo 7, a Panamanian rum aged for seven years in American bourbon barrels. The infusion enhances the cigar with inviting notes of vanilla, toffee, and milk chocolate.
Both the binder and filler are Dominican, creating a smooth, balanced blend with a mild-to-medium body. Presented in a Corona (5 x 42) vitola, each cigar is packaged in a glass tube sealed with red wax—a refined tribute to the world of aged rum.
