Around the World in 8,000 Miles – Bombardier Global 8000

Significant emphasis has been placed on comfort and ergonomic design. This is reflected, among other features, in unique swiveling seats designed to reduce lower back strain during extended periods of sitting.

The new flagship aircraft from the Canadian corporation Bombardier, the Global 8000, is set to be the fastest and have the longest flight range of any private business jet in the coming years. It will enable luxury tourism flights between the world’s prominent metropolitan cities, on routes such as Dubai-Houston, Singapore-Los Angeles, and London-Perth (Australia). Its standout features include an impressive flight range of approximately 8,000 nautical miles (about 15,000 km) and a speed of 0.94 Mach, the highest for business aircraft.

The aircraft is designed to carry up to 19 passengers, with four spacious suites, including an executive suite with a full-size bed and an attached bathroom. Significant emphasis has been placed on comfort and ergonomic design. This is reflected, among other features, in unique swiveling seats designed to reduce lower back strain during extended periods of sitting, as well as the “Zero Gravity” seating position.

The company has created special wings for the aircraft – an original development called the Smooth Flex Wing. Each wing functions like two: one for achieving exceptional lightness at low speeds and the other for increasing speed and range. All of this is aimed at providing the smoothest flight possible.

Additional features of the aircraft include: a highly efficient air filtration and exchange system, meeting medical institution standards; biological lighting designed to reduce jet lag effects on long flights; a humidity control system to enhance breathing comfort; a multimedia system with a 40-inch 4K screen and surround sound, entertainment control, and connectivity in the passenger cabins; and the ability to dial via OLED touch technology.

The Bombardier Global 8000 was unveiled in Geneva in 2022 and is expected to begin its journeys in the skies in 2025.

Bottom line: A luxurious way to explore the world.

Price: $78 million.
