A model produced for only three years, the Jaguar XK140 boasted a long bonnet that housed a 3.4-liter inline six-cylinder engine. This powerplant featured higher lift camshafts to improve output. An optional high-compression version added an extra 20 horsepower, bringing the total to an impressive 210 hp. Power was delivered to a live rear axle through a close-ratio gearbox, giving the car a distinctly sporty and exhilarating character. To this day, it remains one of the most iconic models associated with Jaguar.
