The car in the photograph, one of only five ever produced, is considered the best and most historically “correct” of the four remaining ones. It features its original racing engine (2.5 liters and 250 hp), which has been expertly restored. Its racing history includes some of the biggest names in the sport, such as Carroll Shelby, Reg Parnell, Roy Salvadori, and, of course, Stirling Moss. The car won first place at the Nürburgring in 1959 and played a significant role in Aston Martin’s manufacturer championship that year. It is soon to be auctioned, with an estimated price of around $20 million.
