Private Eye of Baker Street: Waldmann’s Ultra-Limited Sherlock Holmes Fountain Pen
A collaboration between Sekre International and the renowned German pen manufacturer Waldmann has given rise to an exceptionally limited edition of just 23 fountain pens, titled Private Eye of Baker Street. The edition pays tribute to the Scottish author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes.
Each pen is presented in an elegant, bespoke box that includes facsimiles of excerpts from a letter written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, along with a matching ink bottle, enhancing the sense of historical intimacy and literary reverence.
Crafted from 925 sterling silver and fitted with an 18-karat rose gold nib, the pen embodies refined elegance. Its design features subtle decorative elements inspired by the world and imagination of Conan Doyle, evoking the atmosphere of Victorian London and the legendary detective of Baker Street.
Every pen is entirely handmade, with the involvement of more than ten master artisans, including silversmiths, engravers, and other specialists in traditional crafts. According to the company, the development process took over two years, while production required more than 130 individual stages, each followed by meticulous quality control.
This edition forms part of an emerging collection dedicated to iconic British mystery writers, which also includes pens inspired by Agatha Christie.
