The pens feature Raoul Wallenberg’s portrait and signature, accompanied by symbolic motifs connected to his remarkable story, including the Star of David. Even the clip tells a story: its distinctive design represents the “winding, dangerous and obstacle-filled” path faced by Jews attempting to escape Nazi persecution.
The David Oscarson Raoul Wallenberg Fountain Pen is the 29th collection in David Oscarson’s series of limited-edition writing instruments. It was created as a tribute to the memory and extraordinary legacy of Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat and humanitarian who became one of the most remarkable heroes of World War II.
Using his diplomatic position in Budapest, Wallenberg helped save tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews from Nazi persecution and deportation. In recognition of his actions, Yad Vashem honored him as Righteous Among the Nations.
The collection is produced in two color variations, each limited to just 100 fountain pens and 100 rollerball pens.
Wallenberg’s portrait and signature appear prominently on the writing instruments, alongside symbolic elements associated with his life and humanitarian mission, including the Star of David.
Even the pen’s clip carries a deeper meaning. Its distinctive, winding design symbolizes the dangerous and obstacle-filled journey endured by Jews trying to escape Nazi persecution.
At the base of the pen, three flying doves are engraved, adding another powerful symbol of freedom and peace to this highly detailed writing instrument.
Combining intricate craftsmanship, symbolism and historical remembrance, the David Oscarson Raoul Wallenberg collection is much more than a luxury pen. It is a tribute to courage, humanity and the enduring legacy of a man who risked his life to save others.
Price: approximately $7,000.
