Glashütte Original Redefines Time with Limited Annual Calendar Edition
The German watchmaker Glashütte Original presents a limited edition of just 150 pieces that reimagines how we experience time.
As in previous models, the left side of the dial displays the hours and minutes off-center, with a small seconds subdial just below. On the right, the watch showcases the brand’s signature Panorama Date along with a moon phase complication.
The key innovation in this 42mm timepiece is its annual calendar—a complex mechanism that only needs adjustment once a year, on March 1st. Between 3 and 6 o’clock, a retrograde month display arcs gracefully across the dial. A rotating disk powers this display, completing one full revolution every four years.
