Within the extensive offerings of various luxury series by Gurkha, the special and limited editions represent the brand’s pinnacle. Such is the case with Gurkha’s Warlord, and it takes no prisoners. While it may not burn as straight as a ruler, much like the Gurkha warriors boldly associated with the brand, called Gurkhas, it doesn’t detract from the experience and pleasure of one of Gurkha’s most robust cigars. Therefore, it is recommended primarily for experienced enthusiasts, as a treat for a leisurely feast.
The cigar measures ¾6 x 60, and its blend consists of Nicaraguan filler tobacco, Dominican binder, and a Colorado Maduro wrapper from Nicaragua, presenting an oily appearance. In the tasting, a full-bodied profile is revealed, featuring dark chocolate and espresso, devoid of the typical bitterness. There are notes of rum-soaked sponge cake, and intermittent flashes of black pepper. The box, containing 33 Warlord cigars, resembles a treasure chest and can serve as a collector’s item on its own. The price of the cigar is 120 shekels.
