A collaboration between Hong Kong-based luxury menswear brand The Armoury and Swiss haute horlogerie house H. Moser & Cie has given rise to the Total Eclipse—a limited edition timepiece with a 38mm case, designed in homage to the celestial spectacle of a total solar eclipse.
At the base of the dial, a small seconds subdial subtly reinforces the minimalist elegance of the piece. The dial itself is coated in Vantablack®, H. Moser & Cie’s signature ultra-black material composed of light-absorbing carbon nanotubes—widely regarded as the darkest substance ever created by man.
To emulate the luminous halo observed during a total eclipse, the watch features an inner bezel crafted in either stainless steel or 5N red gold, adding a refined contrast to the inky blackness of the dial.
