In the south of the Burgundy region, near the border with the Beaujolais area, lies a picturesque village called Pouilly-Fuissé, where a white wine is produced bearing its name. This is a special survival from a cold year, one of the coldest in the last few decades, with a condensed and concentrated harvest. A dry white wine, full of lemon peel and grapefruit flavors, with delicate hints of toasted wood. It is full-bodied and very French.
