Gulfstream Aerospace’s flagship business jet was first introduced in 2019, showcasing a range of unique features, including two specially designed Rolls-Royce engines. In its initial version, these engines propelled the aircraft to a maximum speed of Mach 0.9—earning it multiple international speed records—while also enabling takeoffs from short runways. The G700 was equipped with a dynamic daylight illumination system that replicated natural sunlight and simulated various lighting conditions, alongside a highly customizable cabin experience.
All these innovations, along with many other enhancements, have been refined and incorporated into the upgraded version of the aircraft, set to take flight in the near future.

The upgraded G700 is capable of covering approximately 14,000 km at a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.85. This impressive range allows for non-stop flights between destinations such as New York and Shanghai. The aircraft features up to five luxurious living areas, accommodating up to 19 passengers. Twenty oversized windows flood the cabin with natural light, while an advanced lighting system mimics sunlight to help mitigate jet lag when crossing multiple time zones.
Enhancing passenger comfort, the G700 includes state-of-the-art entertainment systems with an intuitive touchscreen interface, newly designed ergonomic seats, and even fully customizable seat upholstery.
Qatar Executive, a subsidiary of Qatar Airways catering to the ultra-high-end business sector, has ordered ten next-generation Gulfstream G700 jets to serve its elite clientele.
Bottom Line: A Jet for the Top 1%
