The roots of Montblanc are deeply planted in the culture of writing, and the most prominent writers who entered the pantheon of international culture received special recognition in the Montblanc Writers Edition series.
The Grimm Brothers, Wilhelm and Jacob, collected ancient folk tales for years and retold stories such as ‘Sleeping Beauty,’ ‘Little Red Riding Hood,’ ‘Snow White,’ and many others. These stories became an inseparable part of the childhood of entire generations, from the 19th century to the present day. The new collection by Montblanc, dedicated to the Grimm Brothers, includes four series designed as a wandering staff – a tribute to the numerous ancient tales that roamed from place to place, recounting their narratives.
The deep engagement of the Grimm Brothers in folklore and the roots of the German language finds expression in the special design of the pen caps – on one side, a shape resembling a twisted tree root, and when rotated, it reveals a profile of the brothers themselves, alongside their engraved signatures above the grip. Another detail is the burned flame accents on the pen’s nib, symbolizing the hearth around which children gathered to hear the magical stories.

“From the collection, we chose to focus on the Limited Edition 1812 series, marking the year of the release of the Grimm Brothers’ first collection of folk tales. The series includes 1812 fountain pens and 1812 rollerball pens, all crafted in this limited edition – 1812 fountain pens and 1812 rollerball pens. The series is dedicated to the tale of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and her palace, which lay abandoned for a long year, covered with a thicket of leaves, roses, and thorns that grew around it. This vegetation served as inspiration for the design of the writing instruments, made of ruthenium-coated metal; the cap and body are adorned with gold-plated wildflower motifs, giving them an elegant vintage appearance. The engraving at the tip of the nib bears the words ‘Kinder und Hausmärchen,’ the German name for the collection of folk tales, and ’50,’ the number of the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ tale in the book.
In summary: a true tribute to those who love to write.
Prices: Fountain pen – 17,680 shekels; Rollerball pen – 16,290 shekels.”
