Montecristo is one of the most well-known and highly acclaimed cigar brands in the world, favored by cigar enthusiasts. Founded in 1935, the brand is named after Alexandre Dumas’ famous novel, “The Count of Monte Cristo.” Readers, book collectors, and cigar aficionados used to listen to the novel being read aloud in cigar rolling rooms to keep them captivated during their work.
The Montecristo Edmundo cigar is named after the novel’s hero, Edmundo Dantès. Launched in the spring of 2004, this exceptional cigar left a significant mark in the brand’s diverse range. In 2014, it even earned the title of “Cigar of the Year.”
Crafted superbly at the H. Upmann factory in Havana, the cigar features a full-length filler made from an exclusive blend of tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba. The binder and wrapper are also grown in the same region. The meticulous handiwork produces a delightful aroma of Spanish cedar and cocoa, delivering medium to full-bodied flavors in a harmonious blend of almonds, cocoa, and a touch of spice. The cigar measures 5 x 52, coming in a wooden box containing 25 cigars. The price for a single cigar is 154 shekels.
