The Airbus ACJ220 is a large business jet—perhaps the closest thing to a luxury apartment in the sky. Designed to accommodate up to 135 passengers, it offers an ultra-exclusive experience for around 20 VIP guests, along with more than 100 pieces of luggage, across its six lavishly appointed sections.
The aircraft’s VIP amenities include a spacious lounge, a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and steam shower, a conference room featuring a 55-inch flat-screen display, a fully equipped chef’s kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances, a cinema lounge with a 55-inch 4K screen, and a host of additional luxuries.

Boasting an exceptionally spacious 73 square meters of cabin area—roughly three times the size of typical private jets—the ACJ220 is designed for unparalleled comfort. Passengers enjoy electrochromic windows that dim at the touch of a button, an LED ceiling lighting system, advanced insulation materials, a precision climate control system, and state-of-the-art air filtration technology. Additionally, seating configurations can be customized to meet individual preferences and needs.
The Airbus ACJ220 is based on the A220-100, a previous Airbus model, but with additional fuel tanks to extend its range and flight duration. This upgraded version can fly for 12 consecutive hours, with a maximum range of approximately 10,500 km.
These impressive capabilities are largely due to the aircraft’s advanced composite materials, which enhance its performance. For example, the use of carbon fiber makes the jet significantly lighter, reducing fuel consumption by dozens of percentage points compared to similarly sized aircraft—an advantage that is both economic and environmental.
Bottom Line:
Business travel has never been this comfortable.
