The Nilu 27 has just been crowned the new queen of automotive beauty — and rightfully so. Born from a design philosophy where aesthetics take center stage, her selection as the most beautiful car comes as no surprise. But for Sasha Selipanov, the visionary behind Nilu Workshop, beauty was just the beginning.
Weighing in at just 1,200 kg, the Nilu 27 is a purist’s dream — completely devoid of digital gimmicks or computerized systems. Instead, it’s powered by hardcore old-school engineering, built for serious drivers. Inspired by classic Formula 1 machines and legendary Le Mans racers, it’s a love letter to motorsport’s golden age.
Selipanov describes the design as “a line that runs between modernism and homage to muscle cars, with touches of Bauhaus and avant-garde.” The car is named after his two daughters — Nika and Lucia — with the number 27 paying tribute to the legendary Ferrari Formula 1 car once driven by Gilles Villeneuve, a number forever etched in motorsport history.
At its heart lies a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter mid-mounted engine, built by the renowned Hartley Engines in New Zealand. Producing a mind-bending 1,000 hp at a screaming 12,000 rpm, it’s not just a car — it’s a symphony of speed and raw emotion. Witnesses say that whenever the engine fires up, the air thickens with anticipation and cold sweat breaks on foreheads — such is the intensity of its presence.
There are no tricks here — no automatic gearboxes, no AWD systems, no adaptive suspensions, and certainly no infotainment screens. Just analog, uncompromising performance. Production will be limited to just 15 track-only editions and 54 road-legal versions.
Bottom line: The perfect fusion of high art and high speed.
Price: $3.7 million
