One of the first supercars with a mid-engine layout, the Miura signaled the future, and today such an engine configuration is found in the most exotic vehicles. The car was designed by the company’s engineering team against the wishes of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the owner. It was unveiled in 1965 and received enthusiastic reviews. The 12-cylinder engine produced 385 horsepower, and with a weight of 1,200 kg, it accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reached a top speed of 276 km/h. In 1973, the stunning Countach replaced the Miura. The Miura’s price: £1.0 million.
