In 1888, George S. Parker, the founder of the American writing instrument brand, began his travels around the world. His vision was to create an enhanced and inspiring pen through these journeys, which he documented in a journal using the early versions of the Duofold pen. The current fountain pen from Parker, also from the same series, seeks to express the progress the company has made since those years. It features 22 components, hand-crafted. One of the highlights here is the 18-carat gold nib with two tones. It is designed as a compass, a paraphrase of the navigation journeys undertaken by Parker and the steamship compasses he used during his travels. The pen is presented in an elegant gift box, inspired by vintage suitcases. On the lid, you’ll find a map showing the countries Parker visited throughout the years. Price: $3,300.
