The Ryse Recon personal aircraft, also an eVTOL (electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing), was developed by Ryse Aero Technologies, a young American company founded in 2021. It is designed to make flying as simple as possible. With a relatively low weight, it features six independent motors, six propellers, and six removable rechargeable batteries. The body of the craft and the “cockpit” are fully open.
The Ryse Recon allows for vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) in various environmental conditions, including over water. Landing on land is achieved using six fixed legs, while water takeoffs and landings are facilitated by dual flotation, combining dedicated flotation devices located beneath each propeller and the fixed “legs” attached to the craft’s body. This design enables its use for a variety of tasks, including passenger transport, rescue operations, and agricultural work.

The maximum speed of the Ryse Recon exceeds 100 km/h, with a total weight capacity of up to 110 kg for both cargo and a passenger. The continuous flight time, when the batteries are fully charged, is 25 minutes, and according to the company, its emissions are negligible.
The Ryse Recon is equipped with automated systems based on artificial intelligence and advanced flight control systems, allowing for an incredibly simple landing process—just press a dedicated button. The battery replacement process has also been designed to be as straightforward as possible, with one person able to perform the task quickly and easily, much like swapping batteries in some of the everyday electronic devices we use. Owners of the craft will also be able to purchase additional replacement batteries separately.
The Ryse Recon is also manufactured in a modular design, meaning the buyer can make certain adjustments based on their personal needs. No flight license is required to operate this craft, at least in the United States.
Price: Around $150,000.
