A Classic Comes to Life
Larger than many of S.T. Dupont’s other writing instruments, this distinctive pen is finished in the natural lacquer for which the Maison is renowned and decorated with symbols of both S.T. Dupont and Montecristo. Its enigmatic colors evoke a luminous moon suspended against a deep black night sky.
With a heritage spanning more than 150 years, Parisian luxury Maison S.T. Dupont has built its reputation on exceptional craftsmanship and iconic accessories, including its celebrated luxury lighters.
Now, in collaboration with legendary Cuban cigar brand Montecristo, S.T. Dupont presents the Line D Large Montecristo La Nuit, an elegant writing instrument inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel The Count of Monte Cristo.
The design draws on the dramatic story of Edmond Dantès, the novel’s protagonist, and the long periods he spends in darkness and isolation after being unjustly imprisoned. Ultimately, Dantès overcomes adversity and sets out on a journey of transformation, revenge and redemption.
The pen translates this literary atmosphere into a striking visual composition. Larger in proportion than many other S.T. Dupont writing instruments, it is finished in the Maison’s signature natural lacquer and embellished with distinctive emblems representing both S.T. Dupont and Montecristo.
Its mysterious palette creates the impression of a bright moon suspended in a black night sky, reinforcing the “La Nuit” – “The Night” – theme that defines the collection.
Bringing together French luxury craftsmanship, Cuban cigar heritage and one of the great classics of French literature, the S.T. Dupont Line D Large Montecristo La Nuit is a sophisticated meeting point between the worlds of fine writing and cigar culture.
Price: approximately €1,580.
