While Cognac is predominantly produced from Ugni Blanc, Tesseron also works with Folle Blanche, which contributes finesse and elegance, and Colombard, adding structure and complexity to the final spirit.
Each grape variety undergoes fermentation, distillation and maturation separately. Only after extensive tasting and evaluation is the final blend determined. The resulting Cognac then continues to mature for a period decided by the house’s master blender.
Does it sound complicated? It is. But such meticulous attention to detail is at the heart of producing an exceptional Cognac.
Tesseron XO Perfection has also received considerable critical recognition, including high praise from renowned wine critic Robert Parker.
The Tesseron Cognac house is located in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente, where its historic cellars provide the naturally humid conditions required for the long maturation of Cognac in oak barrels.
France may be one of the world’s great wine-producing nations, but it is also the home of extraordinary Cognac – and Tesseron represents a distinctive expression of that tradition.
