Partagás Aliados
Cigar aficionados are well acquainted with the historic Cuban brand Partagás. Founded in 1845 in Cuba by the Catalan Don Jaime Partagás, it is today one of Havana’s largest and most renowned cigar factories. Partagás was the first to employ a lector—a reader who entertained cigar rollers by reading Shakespearean tragedies and Alexandre Dumas novels aloud. Many of those literary works later inspired the names of immortal cigar brands, some of which eventually became even more popular than Partagás itself.
As befits a prestigious Cuban marque, Partagás enjoys access to some of the finest tobacco-growing plots in the Vuelta Abajo region, allowing its blenders to select exceptional leaves for every component of the cigar and its blend. In 2023, Aliados—Spanish for “Allies”—was introduced as a new special edition within the Partagás portfolio. Created exclusively for two of Habanos’ flagship retail networks, La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist, the cigar bears the logos of both programs on its secondary band. The release also introduced a new vitola to the brand: Delirios (6⅝ x 45).
The cigar maintains a medium-bodied profile throughout the smoking experience, delivering approximately one hour and fifteen minutes of enjoyment. It is presented in elegant boxes containing twenty cigars each.
