It seems that the small Swedish manufacturer, Koenigsegg, brewed a pot of surprises. Alongside the evolution of its “regular” high-performance models, it unveiled the Regera. The story is quite simple and sums up to “1”, referring to the output of 1 megawatt (or 1,360 horsepower, but in reality, the car has a bit more, 1,500 horsepower…). The propulsion is based on a twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 1,100 kW, and two additional electric motors with a power output of 700 kW each. The curb weight is less than 2,000 kg and the maximum speed is about 400 km/h. The company plans to produce only 80 units.
Price: $1.9 million.
