CAO Medio Tiempo Magnifico
The CAO Medio Tiempo Magnifico represents a fascinating innovation in the cigar world: the first cigar line dedicated entirely to the rare Medio Tiempo leaves. These leaves grow at the very top of the tobacco plant and appear on only 10–15 percent of plants. Because they remain on the stalk longer, they receive more sunlight and begin their fermentation process while still on the plant.
The Magnifico is a Toro (6 x 54) featuring a dark, oily American-grown Medio Tiempo wrapper. Beneath it lies a La Vega Especial binder from the Dominican Republic, while the filler combines Dominican Piloto Cubano tobacco with Nicaraguan leaves.
A medium-to-full-bodied cigar, the Magnifico delivers an enjoyable level of complexity. It opens with roasted notes and hints of nutmeg, gradually revealing a deep, dark sweetness characteristic of well-aged tobacco. Flavors of berries and dried fruits intertwine with cocoa, while earthy and nutty undertones provide a rich backdrop throughout the experience.
Presented in a solid wood box reminiscent of the packaging used for the CAO Pilón line, the CAO Medio Tiempo Magnifico offers a rich, aromatic smoking experience lasting approximately sixty minutes.
