For about two decades, the Italian pen manufacturer Visconti has been celebrating the legacy of Vincent van Gogh. The pen before us, in a limited edition of 230 units, is handcrafted and designed inspired by the “Starry Night” painting of the genius artist, one of the most important works of art of all time. This fountain pen is crafted in yellow and blue tones, featuring the masterpiece on its surface. The pen is handmade from solid silver using an ancient wax casting technique to replicate the brushstrokes and layers of oil paint that the artist used in his work. It features a micro-cast silver base, topped with an enamel layer that recreates the artwork. Van Gogh’s signature is engraved on the golden cap ring.
