The iconic 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud in

A true milestone in the marque’s storied history—and undoubtedly one of the most iconic models ever crafted by Rolls-Royce. This was still a car built in the traditional way, with a coach body supported by ash wood framing and an abundance of handcrafted walnut trim. The engine delivered a near-silent, silky-smooth performance, while the cabin offered the kind of comfort that could rival a smoke-filled London gentlemen’s club, redolent with the scent of cigars and aged brandy.

The model shown here is a rare Drophead version, coachbuilt by the legendary house of Mulliner, long renowned for creating the most lavish interpretations of Rolls-Royce luxury. Starting with a standard steel saloon, Mulliner transformed it into an open-top masterpiece. Just 37 right-hand-drive examples were ever produced—this is one of them.
Price: $1.2 million.
