Bimota Tesi H2 Tricolore: The Ultimate Italian-Japanese Hyperbike
For decades, Italy’s Ducati fought for its place in the two-wheeled world. Its motorcycles were always visually exotic and renowned for exceptional road manners, yet the Italian factory often struggled to compete with the Japanese giants—and even with European rivals such as BMW.
Recently, Kawasaki acquired a 49 percent stake in the Italian manufacturer, injecting modern production processes and substantial capital. The Tesi H2 is the product of this partnership, and the first component the Italians eagerly claimed as their own was Kawasaki’s supercharged H2 engine—delivering a staggering 228 horsepower at the rider’s right wrist.
Bimota wrapped this magnificent powerplant in a sculpted, meticulously crafted chassis that only Italians could conceive, then added a wealth of innovations to the steering and braking systems.
The price of admission to this rolling piece of mechanical art: $77,000.
