Bremont Hawking Rose Gold – The Theory of Time
The Bremont Hawking Rose Gold is a limited-edition timepiece that honors British physicist Stephen Hawking and his work on the universe and time. Made by British watchmaker Bremont, this elegant model is crafted in 18-carat rose gold and limited to only 88 pieces. The number 88 marks the year 1988, when Hawking published A Brief History of Time.
Each watch includes a unique detail—its serial number is printed on paper from one of Hawking’s original scientific articles. The back of the case features four small discs of wood. These were taken from the drawer of Hawking’s writing desk, once owned by his grandmother. The caseback also holds a real piece of meteorite, symbolizing the vastness of the universe. An engraved star map shows the night sky over Oxford on the day Hawking was born.
The 41mm dial has a clean and modern design. It features a calendar display and a small seconds sub-dial that looks like a scientific gauge—an elegant nod to Hawking’s world of discovery.
