The initial generation of the SL series, specifically the iconic 300SL "Gullwing," made its debut in 1954, and it has since become one of the most cherished and revered generations of the SL lineup. This classic car, known for its distinctive gull-wing doors and timeless design, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts to this day.

Fashion designer Carolina Herrera has established a unique style that has influenced designs favored by first ladies such as Jacqueline Kennedy and Michelle Obama. Her fashion house is among the most esteemed in elite circles. Mrs. Herrera has a particular affinity for Mercedes, especially the SL model, notably the “Gullwing” version.

During the winter, Carolina Herrera opts for the coupe version, and in the summer, she prefers the convertible. The first generation of the SL (Sport Light) was produced from 1954 to 1963 and remains the most cherished to this day. Then came the iconic “Gullwing” version, with its distinctive upward-opening doors, making history not only in design but also in impressive performance. It was powered by a six-cylinder engine that produced 225 horsepower. The price tag for this classic beauty is around 1.5 million dollars.
