This tourbillon watch from Arnold & Son was inspired by the very first tourbillon created by Abraham-Louis Breguet 260 years ago. Breguet based it on John Arnold’s marine chronometer No. 11—Arnold being one of the founders of the company that would later become “Arnold & Son.” The watch (41.5 mm), released as a limited edition, features a constant-force mechanism, with the tourbillon positioned on the back of the watch.
The case is crafted from 18-carat gold, and the dial is fully coated in a layer of white enamel using the traditional, prestigious “Grand Feu” technique. The time is displayed on a small sub-dial made of white opal stone, slightly concave and gently tilted to make reading the time easier. The watch delivers an impressive power reserve of 100 hours. Price: approximately €141,500.
