For all intents and purposes, this is one of the supercars of the 1950s. It had a unique appearance with gullwing doors. It combined technology, performance, and design. Only 1,400 units were produced between 1954 and 1963. The inline three-liter engine was fed by direct fuel injection, adapted from Messerschmitt aircraft engines used during World War II. As a result, output was increased from 175 horsepower (with carburetors) to 215 horsepower with injection, and later even 240 horsepower with an upgraded camshaft. This car is the holy grail of classic cars. Price: around $1.2 million.
