The aesthetic requirements for sound products have taken a step forward today, so it’s not surprising that over the years, some fashion designers have entered the field. The French fashion house Louis Vuitton recently launched the Horizon Light Up Speaker – a uniquely designed portable speaker that draws visual inspiration from one of the brand’s famous handbags, the Toupie Bag.
The distinctive fingerprint associated with Louis Vuitton is present here, primarily through prominent and clear symbols and visual objects that appear on the speaker. The speaker is made of a combination of metal (stainless steel with a matte and polished look with PVD coating) and luxurious monogram-patterned leather, resulting in a futuristic appearance reminiscent of a scene from a sci-fi movie or perhaps a Parisian fashion display… it depends on who you ask.

The Horizon Light Up Speaker is exceptionally compact, standing at only 14 cm in height and weighing just one kilogram. It comes with a convenient carrying strap for easy transport, offering up to 15 hours of operation after a full charge. The technical specifications include a three-inch subwoofer, two 0.75-inch tweeters, three microphones activated acoustically, and more. The sound is produced in 360 degrees and is visually expressed through a display of colorful lights synchronized with the audio. The speaker can wirelessly connect to various media streams, including Bluetooth 5.1 and AirPlay 2.
In summary, even portable speakers can have a high level of sophistication.
Price (manufacturer’s estimate): Approximately $3,000.
