The inspiration for this unique watch arises from our collective basic misconception about moonlight; considering that the moon itself does not emit light but rather reflects the sunlight. In this regard, the MB&F brand collaborates with the watchmaker Stephen Sarpaneva – an independent Finnish watchmaker known for creating movements with intricate moon phase displays. The result is a creation that hovers in the elusive dimension of moonlight. On the front, you will find the weight of the automatic caliber (based on a Girard Perregaux base), with the hour and moon phase displayed, reflecting through prisms in what the manufacturer calls a “top display,” akin to that in a fighter jet. The minimalist case is made of titanium. The limited edition consists of 12 units per color, and there are three colors available. Price: Approximately $120,000.
