Bodega Colomé, Argentina
Founded in 1831, Bodega Colomé is the oldest winery in Argentina and is widely regarded as one of the world’s pioneers in high-altitude viticulture. Its vineyards, planted at some of the highest elevations on Earth, have transformed Malbec into Argentina’s signature grape, producing wines of remarkable concentration, elegance, and character.
The estate’s vineyards are rooted in mineral-rich soils composed of limestone, granite, and traces of copper ore. They are nourished by pure meltwater descending from the towering Andes. The climate is defined by warm, sun-filled days and exceptionally cold nights, creating ideal conditions for slow, balanced grape ripening. Adjacent to the winery is a boutique luxury hotel with an acclaimed restaurant, where guests can experience the estate’s wines alongside regional cuisine.
