Riding the Future: The PBC Neutron Electric Motorcycle
Anyone who watched Tron (2010) likely remembers the epic motorcycles that carved glowing laser walls through the digital landscape. While Tron is set in a distant future, someone has already brought that vision to life—and made it rideable today. Enter the PBC Neutron, created by the Parker Brothers Concepts workshop in South Carolina.
To build this seemingly fictional machine, the brothers combined a variety of advanced materials. The frame is crafted from aluminum to keep weight to a minimum, while the sleek, sculpted bodywork is made of fiberglass. Most striking of all are the massive 24-inch hubless wheels—among the largest of their kind—giving the bike its unmistakably futuristic presence.
According to the Parker brothers, the sound of a gasoline engine simply didn’t fit the Neutron’s forward-looking design. The solution was an electric powertrain producing an impressive 60 horsepower. And while the body appears to be a single, seamless unit, the front fork is cleverly engineered to allow a degree of steering articulation.
The price of this rolling vision of the future: $52,800.
