Visconti presents an impressive fountain pen, designed based on the appearance of the first typewriter by Remington, whose first commercial model was launched in 1874. The pen is crafted from acrylic resin and features an 18-karat gold nib with ruthenium plating (a strong white metal with crystalline shapes, belonging to the platinum group). All metal parts are made from silver treated with a special aging process, including engraving and enamel coating.
The Qwerty Fountain Pen by Visconti features a grip attached to a pressure mechanism, adorned with an element reminiscent of a traditional wooden key from early typewriters. Even on the cap, you’ll find decorations resembling wooden keyboard keys, made from silver and white enamel. These adornments spell out the word “Qwerty,” representing the common arrangement of keyboard keys in English (reading from left to right along the top row of letters).

The term “Qwerty” also appears on the product’s packaging—a luxurious box designed as an impressive display piece, reminiscent in shape of vintage typewriters. The top part of the box, where the lid opens on a silver axis, contains glass inkwells—one for black ink and the other for red. The lower part features a magnetic drawer-like compartment where the pen is stored.
The Qwerty Fountain Pen by Visconti is offered in a limited edition of 388 units. Price: 3,400 euros.
