Montegrappa has crafted a special edition pen designed to resemble Frankenstein’s Monster, the first to be inspired by the iconic Universal Monsters. Handmade from materials such as antique brass and resin, it features a dark ruthenium coating and a nib made from 18-carat pure gold. The pen is adorned with elements that reference the gothic story, including tiny scientific instruments, laser-engraved lightning bolts, and, of course, Frankenstein’s Monster, which is embossed in a compartment within the cap, revealed via a hand wheel. The pen is presented in an elegant box inspired by Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory, resting on an ‘operating table’ near a plasma ball powered by a power supply. The nib is available in five different sizes and comes with an additional bottle of green ink. Price: approximately €9,500.
