Sir Alexander Fleming, the Scottish physician and scientist who discovered penicillin—the world’s first antibiotic—revolutionized modern medicine and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1945.
This remarkable writing instrument reflects his legacy through both design and symbolism. The pen’s body, finished in refined tones of white and grey, is adorned with an embossed reproduction of Fleming’s signature. The cap features a detailed recreation of the original Petri dish that played a central role in his groundbreaking discovery.
