Swiss luxury Maison Montblanc introduces an extraordinary collection of writing instruments inspired by Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece. Drawing on the tragedy’s enduring story of love and fate, the collection reinterprets it through refined materials, symbolic design elements and exceptional craftsmanship.
The collection comprises six lines, but the most impressive and luxurious is the Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet Limited Edition 715.
The number 715 itself carries a symbolic meaning. The “7” represents the seven days over which the tragedy unfolds, while “1” and “5” refer to Act I, Scene V, where Romeo and Juliet first meet and fall in love.
The writing instruments are crafted from 925 sterling silver, decorated with lacquered leaf motifs and three solid-gold embellishments representing doves and the moon – a combination designed to express the tension between beauty and destiny.
At the top of the cap, Montblanc’s celebrated mother-of-pearl emblem is set against red jasper, its deep red color symbolizing love and sacrifice. A thorn-branch motif provides another reference to the tragic destiny awaiting Shakespeare’s young lovers.
The handcrafted solid-gold nib completes the composition and is engraved with the letters “R” for Romeo and “J” for Juliet.

The wider collection also includes a classic line dedicated to Juliet, offered in two versions. The Precious Resin edition is crafted from precious resin and is priced at NIS 5,420, while the elegant Doué edition combines a resin barrel with a gold-coated cap and is priced at NIS 8,945.
A corresponding collection is dedicated to Romeo, likewise available in two versions: Precious Resin, priced at NIS 6,825, and Doué, priced at NIS 9,320.
Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet Solitaire LeGrand
The Solitaire LeGrand edition brings Romeo and Juliet together in a single design.
Both the barrel and cap are finished in striking turquoise-colored lacquer, complemented by gold-coated leaf patterns, thorn-branch decorations and other details inspired by Shakespeare’s legendary lovers.
