Amels Tanzanit is a 120-meter superyacht—the largest ever built in the Netherlands. With 11 luxury suites, two helipads, swimming pools, and striking design by Zuretti, it’s a floating statement of prestige valued at €350 million.
Dutch Maritime Tradition
The Amels shipyard is a household name in the yachting world. Founded in 1918, it has long represented Dutch excellence in luxury shipbuilding. After being acquired in 1991 by the Damen family, Amels continued to push forward with groundbreaking projects. Its newest crown jewel is Tanzanite—a superyacht that sets a new benchmark.
A Yacht That Breaks Records
The project began in 2020 and is expected to be delivered במהלך 2025. At 120 meters, Tanzanite is not only the largest yacht ever built by Amels, but also the largest superyacht ever constructed in the Netherlands to date.
Breathtaking Exterior Design
The exterior showcases five teak decks that combine elegance with ocean-going strength. Highlights across the decks include:
Two helipads for effortless landings anywhere in the world
Expansive terraces and generous sunbathing and dining areas
A lavish beach club
Two swimming pools—a large main-deck pool with a glass-bottom floor, and a more intimate pool on the bridge deck
Sharp lines and diagonal ventilation details at the center create a modern, unmistakably Amels silhouette.

Interior Design by Zuretti
Inside, the French studio Zuretti delivers a warm, regal atmosphere. A palette of honey and gold tones creates a sense of luxury and intimacy.
Interior indulgences include:
11 suites accommodating up to 22 guests
A crew of 40+ for seamless service
Extensive use of marble, from floors to work surfaces
Marble staircases and a glass elevator connecting the decks
The interior plays beautifully with contrasts—classic opulence paired with modern lines.
Technological Innovations
Tanzanite isn’t just an artwork—it’s an engineering achievement. A hybrid propulsion system combines diesel power with electric drive for efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
Beyond that, the yacht was designed to deliver the lowest noise and vibration levels ever recorded in a yacht of this size—creating a calm, ultra-luxurious onboard experience unlike anything else.
A Dream Price Tag
Tanzanite is estimated to be worth around €350 million. More than a yacht, it’s a floating sculpture of design, engineering, and elite lifestyle—a Dutch masterpiece poised to leave its mark on superyacht history.
