Finnish boatbuilder Saxdor has introduced a new model at the top of its range: the 460 GTC, unveiled at the Düsseldorf International Boat Show in January 2026. Measuring approximately 14.4 metres (47 feet), it is the largest and most sophisticated model in the company’s line-up.
One of its most intriguing innovations is the disappearing glass enclosure, which allows the yacht to transform from a fully enclosed vessel into an almost completely open boat.
In open mode, the sliding glass panels disappear, the roof retracts and the side terraces fold down, creating a single continuous deck connected directly to the surrounding sea. The result is an uninterrupted view stretching from the helm station to the dining area.
When closed, the helm area remains bright and airy, with expansive panoramic visibility. This innovative solution makes the 460 GTC exceptionally versatile and suitable for a wide range of weather conditions.
The yacht features a deep, twin-stepped V-shaped hull, a design closely associated with Saxdor. This hull geometry enables the boat to move smoothly through waves, accelerate efficiently and remain stable as speeds increase and sea conditions become more demanding.
The design also delivers precise handling and impressive efficiency at cruising speeds, with a top speed of approximately 45–50 knots.
Technically, the yacht is powered by a triple-outboard configuration producing up to 1,275 horsepower, providing both substantial power and operational flexibility.
Saxdor has also placed considerable emphasis on ease of operation. The low-profile, customisable dashboard incorporates three 16-inch displays, while the helm ergonomics have been carefully designed to ensure intuitive control. The layout allows the skipper to concentrate on navigation rather than managing complex systems.
In its standard configuration, the Saxdor 460 GTC features a forward owner’s cabin, a midship cabin with twin beds and a full bathroom with a separate shower.
An optional aft cabin can also be added, increasing the total number of sleeping cabins to three and making the yacht particularly well suited to longer cruises and entertaining guests.
