Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air. Strengthening the Relationship
At Porsche, they decided it was time to try walking on water. To make that vision a reality, the German marque partnered with the Austrian shipyard Frauscher, a company that knows a thing or two about yachts, luxury, and advanced marine technology.
The inspiration comes from Porsche’s all-electric Macan 4, but this is more than just a design reference. The boat actually utilizes the same electric platform used in the Macan itself, including its battery system. Porsche designers were also responsible for the helm station, which features an original Porsche steering wheel and a black instrument panel positioned behind a frameless tinted windscreen. The result is a cockpit that directly echoes the driver-focused environment of the legendary Porsche 911.
The two front seats, with elevated headrests, draw inspiration from Porsche’s classic sports cars and feature the brand’s iconic crest with the galloping black horse embroidered into the upholstery.
Frauscher, an Austrian shipyard founded in 1927, is headquartered in Ohlsdorf in northern Austria, with additional locations in Mallorca and the French Riviera. For this project, the company used the platform of its existing performance boat, the Frauscher 858, resulting in a compact open boat with a folding roof reminiscent of a convertible.

Measuring 8.67 meters in length and 2.49 meters in width, the boat is fully electric. Thanks to Porsche’s 800-volt architecture, it can be charged at fast DC charging stations as well as via AC power. The boat reaches a cruising speed of 41 km/h and a top speed of 90 km/h, placing it among the faster boats in its category.
Like Porsche’s classic super-sport cars, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air is perfectly suited for couples seeking an elegant escape. Yet the boat also offers generous social space: two long benches are installed in the bow seating area, and together with the two sun-lounging platforms at the stern, the vessel can accommodate up to nine passengers despite its relatively compact dimensions.
Owners can further personalize their boat by choosing from a wide palette of exterior and interior color options.
Price: approximately $625,000
