The German name Maybach is best known for its long heritage in luxury automobiles. Founded in 1909, the marque is today part of Mercedes-Benz AG and represents one of the most exclusive expressions of automotive luxury.
From time to time, however, the Maybach name ventures beyond the world of automobiles, creating exceptional lifestyle objects such as the impressive Maybach The Peak I Lustrous Midnight Black Gold fountain pen.
The design incorporates several elements inspired by Mercedes-Maybach automobiles. Its elegant contours follow a flowing-line design language influenced by the interiors of the brand’s luxury vehicles, while the top of the pen is machined as a single piece from a solid block and features Maybach’s distinctive Double-M logo.
The pen is handcrafted by German artisans using carefully selected premium materials. Its construction incorporates 925 sterling silver, complemented by genuine gold inlays applied through meticulous hand engraving.
More than 15 layers of transparent black lacquer are applied to create the pen’s deep, lustrous finish while also providing protection for its components.
Completing the luxurious construction is an 18-karat solid gold nib, reinforcing the combination of traditional craftsmanship, precious materials and automotive-inspired design.
