Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing – America’s Fastest Luxury Sedan
With all due respect to Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac ranks higher than many of them on the list of the world’s fastest sedans—thanks to the CT5-V in its Blackwing specification.
This muscle-laden version is a welcome surprise against the traditionally sleepy image of the American brand. Under the hood sits a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 668 horsepower, launching the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and pushing on to a top speed of 321 km/h.
Priced at around $95,000, the CT5-V Blackwing undercuts its direct rivals—such as the BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63 S—by hundreds of thousands of shekels. And before Tesla loyalists point out that the Model S Plaid is quicker to 100 km/h and costs about $5,000 less, this is a different kind of sprint altogether. Here, top speed is the defining metric, not instant off-the-line acceleration—and that distinction matters to drivers who value high-speed performance over drag-race theatrics.
