The Spy from the Ringbrothers Legends 1965 Ford Mustang Espionage

Ringbrothers Legends 1965 Ford Mustang Espionage
Is there a reason why the Ringbrothers chose to name their 1965 Mustang 'Espionage'? Because in this exceptional car, nothing is quite as it seems.

In this exceptional vehicle, nothing is quite as it seems. The Ringbrothers have been building hot rods for several decades, specializing in exceptionally powerful street cars, each with their unique twist.

This Mustang was built for their booth at the SEMA auto customization show and serves as a showcase of the Ringbrothers’ workshop capabilities.

The Mustang’s body is about two inches wider than the original—since many who add power to a Mustang also need wider tires—the Ringbrothers opted for an elegant yet much more complex solution: a new body made of carbon fiber.

They chose a Chevrolet 8V engine with a displacement of 7,000 cc—an audacious choice—that has been modified at a racing shop and fitted with a supercharger, producing no less than 959 horsepower. A six-speed transmission channels the engine’s power to a reinforced Ford axle. This base engine—LS6—is the standard engine in the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V, both of which are among the most powerful even with their standard output of about 400 horsepower.

The cockpit continues the clean line, with a carbon dashboard, and the instrument panel is centered, actually taken from a rally car. The chassis, suspension, and brakes have been reinforced to handle the significant power increase from the upgraded engine and reduced weight.

Bottom line: Even with a Chevrolet engine, this 1965 Mustang is the most impressive.

Price: Starting at $300,000
