The V-55 Sport Yacht from Valhalla Boatworks, a sister brand of the legendary American yacht builder Viking, offers a fresh interpretation of the luxury sport yacht. Measuring 55 feet (approximately 17 metres), it combines aggressive American performance with the comfort, craftsmanship and high level of finish associated with Viking.
The model takes the proven V-55 platform and gives it a contemporary sport-yacht treatment. One of its most distinctive features is a pair of electrically operated fold-down side terraces, each measuring approximately 2.3 square metres. When deployed, they open the cockpit directly to the sea, significantly increase usable deck space and provide easy access to the water through integrated boarding ladders.
The cockpit can be configured in several ways. Options include a lounge with a table and L-shaped summer kitchen, a full-width summer kitchen with U-shaped dining area, or a dining area complemented by an outdoor bar.
In every configuration, the aft bulkhead features an integrated electrically operated window that opens the helm area to the aft deck, creating a more seamless indoor-outdoor environment. For serious anglers, the mezzanine can also be equipped with refrigeration facilities and advanced fishing equipment.
The yacht delivers a genuine sense of luxury, with an interior designed around comfort and functionality. The full-beam owner’s suite is positioned amidships and features a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower. An additional VIP cabin provides comfortable accommodation for guests.
A well-equipped galley and an L-shaped dining area that can be converted into an additional berth complete the interior. An optional HD television can descend from beneath the hardtop, allowing guests to enjoy entertainment while relaxing on the aft deck.
Performance is one of the V-55 SY’s defining characteristics. The yacht is powered by four Mercury outboard engines producing 600 horsepower each, for a combined output of 2,400 horsepower.
This formidable powertrain provides a comfortable cruising speed of approximately 40–50 knots and an impressive top speed approaching 60 knots, positioning the V-55 SY among the fastest luxury sport yachts in its class.
