Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 XXL Large Date and Moon Phases
A unique timepiece in its aesthetic design, transporting us straight to the early twentieth century. It is a clear homage to the Art Deco style and the original 1945 model from the Swiss manufacturer, which was distinctly influenced by that style. The hallmark of this design is evident in the fusion of straight lines and curves, achieving an exceptional balance. The underlying geometry of Art Deco is also reflected in the square shape of the case. The dial features an enlarged display of both the date and the moon phase. The date mechanism is presented using two exceptionally thin discs, creating a seamless display where the numbers appear as one continuous unit. The case, measuring 35.25 x 36.10 mm, is made of stainless steel, and the sapphire crystal glass covers it from both the front and back, allowing a clear view of the sophisticated movement inside. Price: approximately $17,600.
